Taxi theory part 2: Swedish legislation

The legislation module checks how taxi rules and general traffic rules apply to actual journeys. Learn who has the responsibility, when an action must take place and which details change the answer. English explanations should help you read the Swedish rule correctly.

Questions, timing and the pass mark

Delprov 2 contains 50 questions in total, including four evaluation questions. Forty-six questions are scored and at least 34 correct scored answers are required. The ordinary time is 50 minutes. The scored questions are divided equally between taxi legislation and traffic legislation: 23 questions in each area.

The official test is in Swedish. Recognise terms such as taxiförarlegitimation, taxitrafiktillstånd, väjningsplikt and dygnsvila, but learn their function as well as their translation. The English glossary is a starting point, not a replacement for applying a rule.

Distinguish roles and timing

The taxi driver licence and the taxi operator permit belong to different processes. Likewise, recording a journey, giving price information and offering the correct receipt or delivery note are different actions. A customer paying through an app does not make those distinctions disappear.

When studying a rule, ask four questions: which type of vehicle or operation is involved, who must act, what must be done, and when? That method helps prevent a common error: remembering a generally correct action but placing it at the wrong point in the journey.

Practise rest calculations on a timeline

For the relevant light-vehicle rest rules, check the preceding 24-hour period at the point being assessed. Rest that falls outside that window cannot simply be added because it happened on the previous calendar day. Divided rest also has conditions concerning the number and length of the periods.

Draw the start and end points before adding durations. A correct sum can still produce a wrong answer if you included time outside the window. The Swedish rest exercise provides schematic examples; it does not approve a real work schedule or assess driving fitness.

Traffic rules remain relevant with a passenger

A passenger's request does not remove stopping restrictions, the driver's responsibility or the need for an appropriate seat and restraint. Practise reading the location, signs and road conditions before deciding whether a requested action is permitted. Customer service includes explaining a safe alternative clearly.

Keep a record of misunderstood rules and return to them using new examples. Combine this module with part 1 and review the common mistakes before booking.

Frequently asked questions

Must I take part 1 before part 2?

You may take the modules in either order. Both must be passed within six months of the first passed module.

Are old online questions the official examination?

Taxitest's questions are original practice material. They are not claimed to be Trafikverket's protected examination questions.
