Driver and business
Taxiförarlegitimation: taxi driver licence, personal to the driver. Taxitrafiktillstånd: taxi operator permit, concerning the business. Tillståndshavare: permit holder. Trafikansvarig: the person with the defined traffic-management responsibility in the operator arrangement.
Tests and application
Delprov: a separate part of the theory test. Utprövningsfråga: a trial question that does not count towards the result. Förhandsbesked: a preliminary decision on specified eligibility matters. Läkarintyg: medical certificate used for the authority's assessment.
Prices and documents
Taxameter: taximeter used within the ordinary regulated equipment category. Tariff: the basis for calculating the fare. Jämförpris: comparison price for a standard journey of 10 kilometres and 15 minutes. Fast pris: a fixed price agreed for an actual journey. Följesedel: a journey document offered when the journey is invoiced under the applicable rules.
Rest and road traffic
Dygnsvila: daily rest assessed in the period preceding the transport. Personlig tidbok: personal record of rest periods. Väjningsplikt: obligation to give way. Stannande: stopping, a concept distinct from parking. Parkering: parking; remaining in the driver's seat does not automatically make it mere stopping. Stoppsträcka: total stopping distance, including reaction and braking distance.
Vehicle and navigation
Tjänstevikt: the vehicle's registered unladen-weight concept. Totalvikt: its registered maximum total-weight concept. Kartskala: map scale, the ratio between map distance and real distance. Dubbelkommando: additional controls, such as the examiner's brake control in the test vehicle.
